Davis United

Providing a high-level soccer experience that strengthens both the player and the community.

Who We Are

Davis United was founded on the belief that we could build something better for youth sports in our community – and in doing so, shed light on a path forward for others along the way.

The youth sports landscape has shifted dramatically in recent years, and we wanted to see if we could recreate an experience around values that endure.

At the heart of Davis United are two core values: respect and gratitude. Respect for yourself as a player. Respect for your parents, coaches, teammates, opponents, referees, and the broader community that makes sport possible. And deep gratitude for the opportunity to play the game of soccer in a place we call home.

Together, our goal is not to depend on any single leader or personality, but to establish systems, standards, and shared beliefs that will carry forward long after individuals move on. We want these values embedded in how we train, how we communicate, how we compete, and how we lead.

We believe that if we hold fast to this vision, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our youth — shaping not only better players, but stronger teammates, leaders, and citizens. In doing so, we strengthen the fabric of our community itself — and perhaps even inspire something greater beyond it.

Our aim is excellence at the community level. That excellence is measured not only in performance on the field, but in what it truly means to be a community club off the field — accountable, supportive, and aligned with the values we teach.

Davis United Youth Competitive Principles

A Player-Centered Competitive Experience Where Skill, Intelligence, Joy, and Community Meet

Davis United is committed to building a competitive soccer program where values are rooted in development, opportunity, integrity, and community. Our principles guide how we train, compete, and represent our club.

1. Meaningful Playing Opportunities

2. Competitive Team Environments

3. Development-Driven Coaching

4. Positive Leadership

5. Sportsmanship and Integrity

6. Player Growth and Personal Development

Our Commitment

We believe competitive soccer can coexist with character, joy, and community responsibility. By holding to these principles, Davis United seeks to provide a high-level soccer experience that strengthens both the player and the community.

Player Pathway

Our player development pathway at United is designed to provide a clear, supportive progression for athletes at every stage of their soccer journey. It begins with our Micro Program, where our youngest players are introduced to the game in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environment focused on coordination, confidence, and love of the ball. From there, players move into our Core Program, where they continue building technical skills, game understanding, and teamwork in a structured but accessible setting.

As players grow and seek additional challenge, they can advance into our Select Program, which offers a higher level of training and competition while maintaining a strong developmental focus. The pathway then progresses to our United Program, our year-round competitive platform designed for players committed to advanced training, consistent competition, and long-term growth. Beyond youth soccer, the pathway continues into adult soccer opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to creating a lifelong connection to the game and a complete soccer ecosystem within our community.

Davis United – 2026/2027 Tryout Information

Davis United is our single team, year-round, competitive player experience at DCS. We form these teams for players with the dedication, commitment, and skill set to compete at the travel level. United teams train twice per week, compete in league play, tournaments, and follow a structured development model led by our USSF-certified coaching staff.
To select teams, players attended tryouts that are designed to determine the best developmental fit for each player. Our goal is to create a positive, competitive, and enjoyable environment where every player can be evaluated fairly and thoughtfully.

Community Partners

Our community partners are far more than financial supporters of our programs — they are an essential part of the Davis soccer community. Through their partnership, local businesses are not simply sponsoring teams or events; they are investing in the experiences of thousands of young athletes and families across all Davis Community Soccer programs. Their support helps create opportunities, enhance facilities, provide equipment, and strengthen the overall environment in which our players grow and compete.

With more than 3,000 players participating under the DCS umbrella each year — along with their families — our programs create meaningful, year-round touchpoints for connection. From training sessions and match days to camps, tournaments, and community events, our partners engage with a vibrant network of families who value local relationships. This partnership model creates a powerful connection between community businesses and community families, building visibility, loyalty, and shared pride. Together, we are strengthening not just youth sports, but the broader Davis community itself.

Home Field

Nugget Fields serves as the home of Davis United and the central hub for our training sessions, home matches, and club-wide activities. Located at 1801 Moore Blvd, Davis, CA 95616, in the heart of our community, Nugget Fields provides a consistent and professional environment where our players train, compete, and grow together. The grass facility includes two full-size 11v11 fields, one dedicated 9v9 field, and one 7v7 field, allowing us to support all age groups within our player pathway. This ensures that every team trains and competes in an age-appropriate setting while remaining connected within one unified home base.

Nugget Fields is where our teams build identity, where friendships are formed, and where our club culture comes to life each week. From weekday training sessions to weekend home matches, it serves as a gathering place for players, coaches, and families. It is where young athletes take important developmental steps, where teams prepare for competition, and where our community comes together to support one another and represent Davis United with pride.

Game Day Reminders

We are proud to support our youth and adult referee community and maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any negative or inappropriate comments directed toward match officials. Referees are essential to the game, and they deserve a respectful environment that allows them to focus, communicate, and perform their roles effectively.

At Nugget Fields, spectator seating is intentionally structured to provide our Center Referee and Assistant Referees the space they need to work as a team and manage the game without distraction.

Supporters for each team should sit on the same side of the field as their team, positioned to the left of their coaching area. Spectators from opposing teams should remain on opposite halves of the field. No supporters from either team may sit or stand behind the Assistant Referees on either touchline.

Players and coaches must remain within their designated technical areas during the match. Parents and supporters are expected to remain outside of the player and coach areas at all times.

We ask everyone to work together as a community to respect these boundaries and create a positive, professional, and supportive match environment for our players and officials.
